This restaurant goes by two names: Yummy Sanuki Handmade Udon and Yummy Kissaten (Yummy Japanese Western Cuisine). Same shop, same kitchen, same address.

The two names describe two sides of one menu — handmade udon on one side, kissaten cooking and tea on the other. If you see both names in different places, they are both here.

Sanuki Handmade Udon

Kagawa Prefecture. Thick noodles, firm and springy. Broth: bonito, tomato or miso.

Inaniwa Handmade Udon

Inaniwa-chō, Yuzawa, Akita. Flat, thin, soft and silky. Method established 1665; an official provision for the Satake lords of Akita from 1752.

A Hong Kong udon restaurant, since 2004

Yummy was established in 2004, specialising in handmade Sanuki udon and Japanese pearl rice. The udon is air-freighted from Japan.

Alongside the udon: fresh-cut sashimi and clams steamed in sake. A broad menu with many combinations.
